My Diary: The Best Moments Of My Past Are Found In My Future

I got up to find the dog designing a bypass for a village populated entirely by parakeets‭ (‬apparently it was modelled on a cravat worn by the Duke of Wellington at the Battle of Waterloo‭)‬.‭ ‬Downstairs,‭ ‬one of the cats was turning the cockpit hood of a later mark of Supermarine Spitfire into the glass eye of a giant ventriloquist’s dummy‭ ‬-‭ ‬the dummy was called Clarence and in one of its many incarnations had drowned in a vat of Malmsey wine‭ (‬the ventriloquist himself was destined to be trapped in a black and white film which never ends,‭ ‬although it is planned that the colour remake will collapse in on itself and end up as a black hole‭)‬.‭ ‬After a day in the witches cauldron that used to be my studio I walked up the tightrope road to see June pour water into a hole in the ground.
